The National Partnership for Women & Families is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that uses public education and advocacy to promote fairness in the workplace, quality health care, and policies that help women and men meet the dual demands of work and family.
Health care is central to the well-being of women and families. It is a key determinant of their quality of life, their economic security, and their ability to thrive, prosper, and participate in our society.
The National Partnership’s health care agenda is designed to expand access to quality, affordable health care for all Americans. The National Partnership works with consumer organizations in 17 communities across the country to show consumers what they can do to take a more active role in achieving safe, effective, affordable care, including how to choose high-performing providers.
The National Partnership believes that health care quality, cost, and coverage are inextricably linked and inseparable. Improving our health care system requires better public reporting and transparency, enhanced primary and preventive care, health information technology, and patient empowerment.
“Every patient deserves to get the right care, at the right time, for the right reason,” said Debra L. Ness, President, National Partnership for Women & Families. “The National Priorities Partnership offers a unique opportunity to work with a broad range of health care organizations on common goals for fixing our broken health care system. We are excited to participate in the NPP so we can give all individuals and families the quality, affordable health care they need and deserve.”
